ANIMATION

From the Latin animare, meaning: “to give life to”, or anima, meaning “soul”.

For more than a decade Michael Havas has worked with some of the world’s most renowned animators:
Jan Švankmajer, Jiří Barta, Pavel Koutský and Bedřich Glaser.

Jan Švankmajer´s ALICE (1984) was one of the first full-length feature films to be produced under clandestine conditions in communist Czechoslovakia.

Together with Keith Griffiths of Konninck International (London) Havas has been involved in many international animation co-productions, ranging from full length features by Jan Švankmajer through video clips to MTV idents and animation for Peter Gabriel´s Real World CD ROM “Ceremony of Innocence”.
